New Self-Build and Custom Housebuilding Register Lewes District Council
Custom and Self-Build Register
We are asking you to register your interest in custom and self-build housing, which will help the Council understand the level of interest in this form of development and the type of projects that may be appropriate in the District (excluding South Downs National Park areas). It intends to create a register of those people interested in self or custom build homes in accordance with the requirements of the Self-Build and Custom Housebuilding Act 2015.
We shall use the information to explore ways in which it might be possible for people and plots to be brought together. Registration does not however guarantee that a suitable plot will be identified or become available.
For further information about how the council uses your information and your rights please read our privacy noticeĀ here.
In submitting this form, you are agreeing that the Council can use the data you provide to understand the demand for custom build and self-build housing. Personal details included on the register will not be made public, but anonymised headline data extracted from it may be published.
We may contact you in the future in order to provide further information about custom and self-build initiatives and land that may become available in the District. We will not pass identifiable information onto anyone outside the Council without your written consent.
Only information required by legislation is mandatory to complete, but the other information would be useful to help us understand the type of demand for custom and self-build housing.
If you have any queries, please contact the Planning Policy team (ldf@lewes-eastbourne.gov.uk).
You can respond to this consultation for first time registering, for re-registering and for requesting to be removed from the register.
