  • College Conservation Area Appraisal

    The Council has a duty to review, formulate and publish Appraisals for the preservation and enhancement of the Borough’s 12 Conservation Areas. The College Conservation Area Appraisal sets out the special interest of the area and reviews the boundary of the existing Conservation Area. Consultation on the College Conservation Area Appraisal will be carried out over the period from 14th February to 28th March 2019.

    The Pre-Submission Lewes District Local Plan Part 2 identifies and allocates sites to meet development growth identified in Local Plan Part 1 and sets out detailed (non-strategic) development management policies to guide development and change. The Pre-Submission (Regulation 19) version has been published for representations between 24 September and 5th November 2018.

    The Draft Consultation Local Plan Part 2 identifies and allocates sites to meet development growth identified in Local Plan Part 1 and sets out detailed (non-strategic) development management policies to guide development and change. The Sustainability Appraisal is a report setting out the sustainability implications of Local Plan Part 2. Both documents have been published for consultation between 30 November 2017 and 25 January 2018.

  • Lewes District Council Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Document

    The Affordable Housing SPD presents the Council’s position regarding affordable housing, explaining the type of affordable housing to be sought, the indicatives values used to calculate commuted sums, how commuted sum payments will be calculated, and also explains the considerations which will be taken into account when assessing the viability of development.

    The Council has a duty to review, formulate and publish Appraisals for the preservation and enhancement of the Borough’s 12 Conservation Areas. The Town Centre and Seafront Conservation Area Appraisal sets out the special interest of the area and reviews the boundary of the existing Conservation Area, with a recommendation to retain the existing boundary. Consultation on the Town Centre and Seafront Conservation Area Appraisal will be carried out over the period from 7 August 2017 to 6 October 2017.
